nphilippnot unless I've eaten my pea-stew that's en route anyway ;-)
j-rodnphilipp: can you expand on why?
* dwmw2 arrives
jds2001 can't honestly say i've seen any work from him.
nphilippblarg
strike my comments on kaboom
* dgilmore has no idea who kaboom is
nphilippI shouldn't be talking here anyway, just listening
nottingthere weren't any followup comments on the sponsors list.
nirikperhaps my list was wrong...did they really apply?
* nphilipp didn't realize jds2001 talked about kaboom the nick, not the process
j-rodkaboom took over one of my packages... mostly competent
but a bit slow to respond sometimes
nirik-1 and ask him to resubmit with more info on what he would like to do with provenpacker

jds2001yeah, he's on the desktop team in brno
kasaland sits next to me
jds2001rationale confused me, person doesn't :)
nirik+1 I guess...
they have about 25 commits recently.
jds2001mjakubicek?
* mejla (here and open to questions...)
nottingkasal: right, i know who he is, and am +1 to him, just wasn't sure why someone would need provenpackager as part of being a bugzapper
sharkcznotting: he is packager in his free time :-)
nirikyeah, that seems unrelated.
dgilmorenotting: i agree bugzapping really doesnt need commit access at all
unless i miss understand bugzapping
jds2001dgilmore: you don't
anyhow, mjakubicek?
nirik+1 here...
* notting doesn't know him, so 0. links to his work?
jds2001 falls in line with the researcher, +1 :)
mejlaI can grep from BZ if you want
dgilmorehttp://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Mjakubicek
im kinda 0
nirika fair number of commits... mejla: have you modified many packages that you don't own?
mejlanirik: no, I was in the provenpackagers group since about a 3 weeks or so, in that time: system-config-cluster, system-config-vsftpd, gsl, was about to remove rpaths from ginac when I was out of ACL
j-rodI kinda think anyone we're not all pretty much 100% certain about, it would be good to have feedback from the sponsors
jds2001right, you had mentioned doing KDE work, right?
nirikare you working with the maintainers of those packages? they are just busy and wanted help?
mejlanirik: not really, most of them just didn't respond for a long time (in the case of system-config-cluster 3 years)...regarding KDE I've done some reviews there recently
nirik: or I needed to fix them in order to get my own packages in good state...like if ginac introduces rpaths in pkgconfig files or so
nirik: well, for me being in the provenpackager group is mainly about knowing where is the end of my facilities...I'm not going to touch things I don't understand
nirikok, so where are we here? any other votes?
sharkcz0
mejlajds2001: my sponsor is mtasaka
jds2001so where are we? defer?
j-rodI'd like to hear from the sponsors list
not to say good and proper work hasn't been done, but mejla, I've never heard of ya before today :)
while all the other names I recognize immediately
mejlaj-rod: that might be ;)
jds2001let's defer until Friday, and nudge the sponsors list for more feedback?
* nirik nods.
j-rodworksforme
jds2001+1 to my own proposal :) Moving right along
karsten?
nirikthanks for providing input here mejla. :)

dgilmore+1
nirikdgilmore: yes, but is s390 setup ?
dgilmorenirik: yes it si
notting+1 to atkac

dgilmore+1

jds2001jwb: ?
nirik+1 mbarnes
jds2001+1 mbarnes
nirikjwb: I suppose he could be removed some cvsadmin and not provenpackager someday? dunno...
notting+1 to mbarnes
j-rodseems plausible to me
dgilmoreshould i give a break down of the cvs acl structure?
dgilmoreor do people think that they understand it just fine
* nirik understands it fine.
jds2001i understand it.
nottingi understand it. not sure everyone who asks for provenpackager does
dgilmorenotting: i hope you understand it
jds2001s4504kr (Jochen Schmitt) sent me mail this morning?
nirikI see a fair number of commits from them, but looking they seem to be on their own packages...
ah, they fixed some deps in nethack. ;)
jds2001yeah, it was a sponsor request too. I'll forward it on as such.
nirikshall we just look at it friday as a sponsor then? sponsor should add them to provenpackager?
jds2001j-rod: you had a few?
nirik: sure
j-rodyeah, a few kernel folk
davej, kyle, cebbert, mjg and airlied
jds2001+1 to all
notting+1 to all
sharkcz+1 to all
nirikj-rod: ok, do they often poke outside kernel? or they want it just for the kernel?
j-rodI'm +1 to all as well, but...
* nirik is +1 to all, but is just wondering.
dwmw2+1 to all.
j-rodyeah, mostly in kernel-related userspace
nottingas opposed to the userspace that doesn't run on a kernel?
j-rodfile system utils, X drivers, cpufreq stuff, mkinitrd, etc
notting(sorry)
jds2001sounds reasonable.
j-rodplthbt
dwmw2userspace is dirty and must be punished
dgilmore+1 to em all
jds2001anyone else?
j-rodthat's all I had for the moment
nphilippjds2001: I take it my request for sponsor has made it to the fesco list by now?
* dgilmore needs to find lunch
nottingjds2001: there's a request in trac for drag01
nottinghttps://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/104
jds2001nphilipp: oops, knew I forgot something in the mad rush :)
nphilipp:-)
jds2001ok, shall we take a vote on drago01?
he doesn't mention what he'd use the access for.
just that he maintains a bunch of packages.
nirikhe's done good work from what I have seen... I am +1. Dunno if we should wait and get more feedback from sponsors tho
notting+1 drag01
sharkcz+1
jds2001+1, defintely done good work, I wasn't debating that :)

j-rod+1 and +1
* jds2001 going too fast
jds2001approved
* j-rod just made the mistake of hopping over to #fedora-devel for a sec... I want to gouge my eyes out now...
nphilippj-rod: anything specific or just the general situation ;-)?
nirikj-rod: ;)
j-rodsome heated debate over the merits of ACLs, getting hacked, barriers to contribution, etc.
much of which descended into the slightly ridiculous
nphilippj-rod: what would the world be without the slightly ridiculous ;-P?
jds2001anything else or shall we put a fork in this meeting?
j-rodoh, I agree there's definitely a place for it... just wasn't looking for some of that right now. ;)
fork it
* nirik is afraid he would ask anyone wanting to change things to come up with a detailed proposal on how it should all work. Just changing details or not looking at the entire picture is doomed to fail.
jds2001oh yes.
* jds2001 ends the meeting in 60
jds2001 ends the meeting in 30
jds2001 ends the meeting in 15
jds2001meetind end
I'll gett all these folks in
